An Index of Competitiveness and Cooperativeness for Normal-Form Games

چکیده
We develop an index of competitiveness and cooperativeness that is based on the primitives a normal-form game, i.e., players, strategies payoffs. The relies unique decomposition given game into zero-sum common interest game. decreases in distance to its part increases part. comparative statics our coincide with economic intuition. also supports experimental findings well-known classes games sense more cooperative less competitive behavior correlates lower values index. development and implementation of an optimized control strategy for induction machine in an electric vehicle
in the area of automotive engineering there is a tendency to more electrification of power train. in this work control of an induction machine for the application of electric vehicle is investigated. through the changing operating point of the machine, adapting the rotor magnetization current seems to be useful to increase the machines efficiency. in the literature there are many approaches wh...

We introduce a method of decomposing a p-player normal form game into 2p simultaneously-played component games, each distinguished by the set of “active” players whose choices influence payoffs. We then prove that a normal form game is a potential game if and only if in each of the component games, all active players have identical payoff functions, and that in this case, the sum of these share...
متن کاملRefinements of rationalizability for normal-form games
In normal-form games, rationalizability (Bernheim [3], Pearce [11]) on its own fails to exclude some very implausible strategy choices. Three main refinements of rationalizability have been proposed in the literature: cautious, perfect, and proper rationalizability. Nevertheless, some of these refinements also fail to eliminate unreasonable outcomes and suffer from several drawbacks. Therefore,...
متن کاملAn Adjusted Payoff-Based Procedure for Normal Form Games
We study a simple adaptive model in the framework of an N -player normal form game. The model consists of a repeated game where the players only know their own strategy space and their own payoff scored at each stage. The information about the other agents (actions and payoffs) is unknown. In particular, we consider a variation of the procedure studied by Cominetti et al. [9] where, in our case...
